Who we are

KalyanX ("KalyanX", "we", "us") designs and builds websites, mobile apps and software for businesses. This policy covers this website (kalyanx.com) and any enquiry you send us through it, by email or on WhatsApp. For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the "data fiduciary" for the details you share with us.

What we collect

What you send us

When you fill in the contact form or write to us, we receive what you choose to share:

• Your name, email address and (if you add it) phone or WhatsApp number
• Your business name or website, type of business, what you need, budget and timeline
• Your message, and anything else you send us in follow-up emails, calls or chats

What is recorded automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical details when a page is requested — such as your IP address, browser type, the page visited and the time. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure, and are kept for a short time.

We do not use advertising trackers, and this site does not currently run analytics. Our fonts and images are served from our own site, so loading a page doesn't send your details to font or image services.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry, understand your business and prepare a quote
• To plan, build, launch and support the work you hire us for
• To send invoices and keep the records the law requires us to keep
• To keep this website secure and working properly

We use your details because you chose to share them with us for these purposes (your consent), or because we need them to carry out work you've asked for or to meet a legal obligation. We don't send marketing newsletters, and we never sell or rent your details.

Who we share it with

We share your details only with services that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:

• Email and form services that deliver your enquiry to our inbox
• Our website host, which serves the site and keeps its technical logs
• WhatsApp, if you choose to message us there — WhatsApp handles those messages under its own privacy policy
• Authorities, if the law requires us to

Some of these providers may store data outside India. We only use well-established providers who protect it properly. Links on this site to other websites (such as our clients' sites, GitHub or Instagram) are covered by those sites' own policies.

Cookies and storage

This site doesn't set tracking or advertising cookies. It saves two small things in your own browser to make the site nicer to use:

• Your light/dark choice, so the site remembers it next time
• Whether you've seen the opening animation during this visit, so it doesn't replay on every page

Neither is sent to us, and you can clear both at any time from your browser settings.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that don't become a project: deleted within 24 months, or sooner if you ask
• Clients: for as long as we work together, and afterwards only as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires us to keep records
• Hosting logs: a short period set by our hosting provider

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it
• Correct, complete or update it
• Delete it, where we don't need to keep it for a legal reason
• Stop using it, by withdrawing your consent (this won't affect what we did before you withdrew it)
• Let someone you nominate exercise these rights for you if you're unable to

Just email hello@kalyanx.com. We may ask you to confirm who you are, and we aim to reply within 30 days. If you're unhappy with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and only the people working on your enquiry or project can see your details. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affected your data, we would tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Children

This website is meant for business owners and is not aimed at anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect children's personal data.

Data in projects we build

When we build or run a website, app or software for you, it may handle your customers' data — orders, bookings or contact details. That data belongs to you: we only access it to build, maintain or support your project, on your instructions, and we don't use it for anything else. The details are set out in your project agreement.

Changes to this policy

If the way we handle data changes — for example, if we add analytics — we'll update this page and the date at the top.
